Maggie Monroe
M.S., LMFTHi there! I am a part-time volunteer with Living Hope! I received my Bachelor's degree from The University of Alabama studying Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Addiction and Recovery. I went on to receive my M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy because I longed to see individuals, couples, and families thrive.
While working on my masters, I completed 600 hours of supervised clinical sessions with clients as young as 3 years old and as old as 70. Following this, I completed another 1,000 hours of supervised work in a private practice setting. After passing the Marriage and Family Therapist exam, I obtained my license to practice in the state of Alabama, USA (L#680) in May 2025.
During my four years of work in America, I received specialized training in EMDR, trauma-informed care, and play therapy. I had the privilege to work with individuals, couples, and families with a variety of backgrounds and needs. I have experience with anxiety and depression, Autism / ADHD, infidelity in couples, and play therapy for children who have had traumatic experiences. My goal is to offer compassionate, neurodiverse-affirming, trauma-informed care to every person who comes into our office.
I hope through time spent together that you would realize you are not a problem to be solved, but a person to be loved. It is a joy and honor to do this work. I am looking forward to working together and can't wait to hear from you soon!
Note: Maggie currently has limited availability to see clients.
