Sometimes, anxiety feels like “something is wrong,” even when you can’t quite identify what it is.
You may find yourself constantly thinking about everything that could go wrong.
Reading and rereading a message before sending it.
Finding it difficult to relax even when everything seems fine.
Or lying in bed while your mind keeps running through countless scenarios about tomorrow.
Worry, to some extent, is a normal human response. It helps us recognize potential threats and prepare for difficult situations.
But when worry becomes excessive, difficult to control, or persistent, it can begin to shape how you work, rest, make decisions, and connect with others.
The question isn’t only:
“How much do I worry?”
It may also be:
“How much is this anxiety shrinking my life?”
If you find yourself increasingly avoiding, controlling, or over-preparing simply to feel safe, it may be time to look more closely at what is happening beneath the worry.
